Leak Detection

When dealing with a leak detection in a drain pipe, detection can be difficult. Unlike a pressurized water pipe, the drain leaks drip out as opposed to shooting out. This means it could have run along the pipe for awhile before you detected it. If you are in a crawlspace, finding that leak the first time is important so the job doesn’t have to be done twice. That problem is compounded even more if your pipe is underground, or even worse under a slab. The cost of digging to find a pipe is pretty high, and tearing up concrete is astronomical, so you need to locate the leak using the most up to date methods available.

We are experts in the use of video pipe inspection. This is the key method of detection for a professional plumber when dealing with an underground, under slab, or any other inaccessible drain pipe. This eliminates the chance of digging up long lengths of perfectly sound pipe in order to find the one bad spot.

Finding leaks in pressurized water lines is an easier job because they spray from the spot of the leak. This is, however, complicated by things like insulation and leaks in buried water lines either in houses or in an irrigation system.
